⥠Lightning splits into two mutations
A strike only counts as a mutation when it lands within one multiplier step of your planned harvest. Which tag you get depends on how far the tree had grown.

The low-multiplier lightning payoff. You need the bolt to land close to when you planned to harvest, but before the tree climbs past 25x.

A mutated seed grows into a mutated plant, and that plant drops mutated fruit. You can also roll a mutation directly onto a seed or fruit while the matching weather event is active, so there are two ways to start a mutated line.
If different weather events hit a plant over time, it can collect several tags. Its fruit inherits every mutation the plant has. Greedy Growers does not publish how stacked multipliers combine, so treat multiple tags as a bonus rather than a fixed total.
Lightning does not always erase the value you built. A dead tree carrying a mutation still sells for more than a plain dead tree, which softens the loss when a bolt ends the run.
Every weather event runs for four minutes and thirty seconds, then the window closes. Some guides report you can also trigger a specific event from the Shop with Robux instead of waiting for it to appear on its own. Plan your planting around the clock, because the window is short.

What is the best mutation in Greedy Growers?âž
Cosmic is the strongest, at a 100x sell multiplier, and it only rolls during Meteor Shower weather (about a 2.5% chance on seeds and fruit). Golden is next at 25x during Rainbow weather. Because the odds are low and the events are short, most runs never see a Cosmic fruit.
